General Manager, Consumer Division
John O’Shaughnessy joined Blue Diamond Growers as General Manager of the Consumer Division in 2002. John has oversight for the growth and development of the world’s best-known brand of almond products, Blue Diamond Almonds.
John and his team are responsible for the more than ten-fold growth of Blue Diamond’s branded business in the last 11 years. During this time, Blue Diamond has led the industry with the introduction of new and innovative almond products such as Bold flavored almonds, Oven Roasted almonds, the market’s leading non-dairy beverage, Almond Breeze®, Nut Thins® crackers and more.
With an extensive 30-year background in the food industry, John has previously held senior leadership positions with Homegrown Natural Foods, Nestle USA, and Unilever USA.
John graduated from Fairfield University with his Bachelor’s degree in History and received his MBA in Marketing from the Lubin School at Pace University.
